Gross earnings that exceed $1,180 monthly are inconsistent with disability. If you are currently earning this amount of income and expect to continue to do so, you are not eligible for Social Security disability. If your gross earnings are reduced to less than $1,180 monthly because of your medical conditions, you may be eligible.
